stockholm quality outlet
stockholm travel and shopping guide
Stockholm, Sweden is a great shopping location for travelers. The city of Stockholm offers large department stores, smaller more exclusive boutiques, the enormous Galleria Mall in the middle of the city and the Quality Outlet Stockholm. Now I know you may be looking for something unique and Swedish, but if brand name labels are expensive in your country then you may want to use your trip to Stockholm to find some discounted top quality clothing. If you have fashion conscious teens then the Quality Outlet is the right place for you to find gifts for them – and yourself!
Quality Outlet Stockholm is not unknown to veteran shopaholics looking for name brand labels at discount prices but travelers may be put off at the sometimes complicated directions on how to reach Stockholm's Quality Outlet Stores.
How to get to Quality Outlet Stockholm
From the Stockholm central train station follow the sign towards the commuter trains. Take a commuter train in the direction of Balsta or Kungsangen – usually platforms 15 and 16. Get off at Jakobsberg or Barkarby. From there take a bus number 567 to Herrestavagen, the bus drivers know the spot and will also understand if you just tell them Quality Outlet. The Stockholm Quality Outlet is right next to the bus stop. To return from the Stockholm Quality Outlet take a bus from either side of the road and just retrace your steps. The entire journey takes approximately 18 minutes. You will be riding the trains and buses with locals and they can be very helpful in showing you the way.
What will shoppers find at Stockholm Quality Outlet
The Stockholm Quality Outlet complex is built like a small village with each "house" being a different store. There are 50 different stores offering 100 brand labels. The most well known labels include Timberland, Nike, Triumph, Sand, Lacoste, Rockport, Quicksilver, Redgreen, Puma, Lee and Wrangler, Cross, Noanoa, Hilfiger, Golf, Bjorn Borg, Chevignon, Hope and many, many more. There are both clothing and house hold goods. Very close to the Quality Outlet complex you can also find Toys R Us and other house and home stores.
There are places to rest your feet and get something to eat right in the middle of the shopping complex including Wayne's Coffee and Pizza Hut.
There is a also an emphasis on golf related stores – the sport not the brand, so if you play golf you should also check out the Stockholm Quality Outlet complex.
Prices at Stockholm Quality Outlet
Stockholm's Quality Outlet complex is an outlet store which means they stock exactly what is in the other more central stores with the only difference being that the prices are uniformly cheaper by between 30% and 70%. The clothes are of course new and in top condition, these are not rejects, rip offs or damaged goods, they are new top quality original goods.
Apart from the 30% - 70% discounts there are also additional sales several times a year on top of these prices. For example September and January are sale months. I found that Nike and Triumph were much cheaper than high street stores, but the prices in some of the stores were only marginally lower.
Stockholm Quality Outlet Open Hours
Weekdays the Stockholm Quality Outlet is open from 11:00 – 20:00. On Saturdays from 10:00 – 17:00 and on Sundays from 11:00 – 17:00.
